Meet The Founders

Eric Berg

Eric Berg

Hometown: Cape May, NJ

Eric is a licensed USCG 100 ton captain and has been in the commercial marine industry for over 20 years. He began in 2006 as a diesel technician, repairing commercial fishing vessels, tugboats, ships, and passenger vessels. In 2013, Eric began working at Yank Marine where he was promoted to General Manager. At Yank Marine, he oversaw all shipyard trades, as well as new vessel construction.

Michael Tilsner

Michael Tilsner

Hometown: Rio Grande, NJ

Michael has also been in the commercial marine industry for over 20 years. He began his career at Yank Marine through a work program at Cape May County tech in 1998 and went full time in 2000. Mike has been involved in building 45 commercial vessels. Most of them were USCG sub chapter T and K. The first project he managed was the 130’ schooner America, which is currently docked at the lobster house in Cape May.
